  • Brief
  • Kim had established an international reputation over many years working for top labels on ‘exclusive’ lines when she decided to start her own label. She needed a brand and assistance defining a signature style.
  • Requirements
  • Like Kim... the label needed to be unique, stylish and quintessentially English (elegant and understated). Solutions had to look equally beautiful in print / online, and should signal quality, style and care.
  • Solution
  • Our response was clean and informal. Muted colours were deliberately chosen to "background" the label. Setting the stage for her customers to shine; allowing them to express their own personality through unique colour combinations and ‘their take’ on each ‘classic’.
  • Given a restrictive budget (due to associated start-up costs and overheads) we elected to bring the photography and art direction in-house, scout and give opportunities to local / undiscovered models, and shoot exclusively with natural light. Decisions that proved extremely popular with new and established followers alike.
Keynotes:
  • Unique / elegant label ('backgrounding' the brand)
  • Bespoke 'house style' (with 'naturalistic' photography)
  • Elegant 'fashion mag' vibe (via editorial design)
  • Multi-channel solution (ecom, print, ebook, social...)
  • Long-standing success (twenty plus publications)
